MetaTrader 5 Installation Guide

Follow the steps below to integrate Algoteknik systems into your MetaTrader 5 (MT5) platform via the MQL5 Market.

Create an MQL5 Account and Log In

To download our products, you first need an MQL5.com community account.

  • Open the MetaTrader 5 platform.
  • Navigate to Tools > Options from the top menu (Shortcut: Ctrl+O).
  • In the window that opens, switch to the Community tab.
  • Connect your account to the terminal by entering your MQL5.com username and password.

Allow Automated Trading

If you are using an Expert Advisor (EA), the platform must allow automated trading (not required for indicators, but recommended).

  • Go to the Tools > Options menu again.
  • Open the Expert Advisors tab.
  • Check the "Allow algorithmic trading" box.
  • Ensure the "Allow DLL imports" box is also checked.
  • Click OK to close the window. The "Algo Trading" button in the top menu should now be highlighted in green.

Download the Product from the Market

You can access our products by clicking the product links on our site or directly from the Market tab in MT5.

  • Click on the Market tab from the "Toolbox" window at the bottom of the terminal.
  • Type the name of the product you want to download in the search bar (e.g., Smart Chandelier Exit).
  • Click the Download button on the product page.

Attach to a Chart and Start

Downloaded products are automatically added to the Market folder in the "Navigator" window.

  • Open the Navigator window on the left side of the screen (Shortcut: Ctrl+N).
  • Expand the Indicators > Market (or Expert Advisors > Market) folder.
  • Drag and drop the downloaded product onto an open price chart.
  • Set your parameters in the settings window that appears and click OK.

Important Note

As stated in the user agreement, if there are checkboxes like "InpIUnderstandRisks", you must check them (set to true/yes) to give your consent for the EA to trade. Otherwise, the EA will not open trades for security reasons.
